PINNACLES

Pinnacles is a place for rejuvenation. People come to appreciate the unspoiled wilderness, hike the trails, climb rock walls, explore quiet caves, stargaze unclear night skies, and picnic or camp in the shade of ancient oaks…Preserve Pinnacles National Park for future visitors.

I hoped and prayed, wished and planned but alas no California condor chose to fly overhead on my travel through Pinnacles. Located in a remote area of central California this park is named for the eroded remains of an ancient lava field. This is nature at its best. Wild turkeys, a variety of birds, mule deer, a tarantula and tail of a rattlesnake were seen on our wanderings through the park. Hiking, exploring caves, and watching the amazing variety of wildlife in the tranquility of this beautiful wilderness make this a wonderland for exploration.
