SEQUOIA

Do behold the King in his glory, King Sequoia! Behold! Behold! seems all I can say.  Some time ago I left all for Sequoia and have been and am at his feet; fasting and praying for light, for is he not the greatest light in the woods, in the world? Where are such columns of sunshine, tangible, accessible, terrestrialised?

Sequoia and Kings Canyon are often linked together. Actually these are two separate national parks. There are more than 800 miles of hiking trails. Caves, raging rivers, gushing waterfalls and its name sake, the gigantic sequoia provides ample opportunity to enjoy this amazing park. Sequoias can live more than 3,000 years and grow only on the west side of the Sierra Nevada range. Generals Highway is a winding road with plenty of pullouts to take photos, breath in the woody fragrance of cedar and musk and many opportunities to hike along the way. Congress Trail is 2 miles and possibly the most beautiful hike through massive Sequoias. This is an amazing place to enjoy the outdoors.
